Early video game designer: Okay, we’re just about done with this level
Video game designer’s manager: Great! Did you figure out what to put at the end?
designer: Yeah, we put this tough, nasty, mean, ugly monster that the player has to beat. We made sure killing the monster feels as rewarding as possible.
Excuse me, if I can just have a moment of your time, I just want you all to know that I love Ciel with my entire heart and soul. While she’s undoubtedly tragic she’s also beautiful, badass, compassionate, funny, insightful, and wonderful and she’s easily the one of the best written females in the Nasuverse and the only heroine Shiki has a fairly equal relationship with in Tsukihime and even though I can objectively agree her route wasn’t the best written overall with it’s fair share of bad scenes, it still did have some of the greatest moments of the entire visual novel and you should all appreciate Curry-senpai more.
